Reablement is to promote individual indepence by helping them to regain or retain there confidence and skills so that they can manage on their own again after a period of illness in the comfort of their own home.

Reablement is short term care for a maximum of six weeks and depends on how soon an individual is able to cope at home.

Activities
- Personal (Washing, showering bathing)
- Getting dress and undressed
- Toileting and promoting continence 
- Meal preparation  (Preparing with and serving)
- aking medication (prompying, assisting and administering)
- Mobility support 
- Getting into and out of bed or a chair.
